Probably the best eye exam my wife and I have ever had! Dr. Shields was very professional and explained everything while Natalie guided us through the exam process. First visit to ACOV as our previous provider no longer accepted our insurance. Pleasantly surprised, greeted as we walked in and immediately checked us in. Natalie explained the process and asked some questions about what we needed (eye exam & new glasses). She took care to answer all the questions we had and within minutes our exams began. Impressed with the speed of service and the modern equipment used to check our eyes, once all of this was done we waited for a few minutes to see the doctor and have eyes examined for new prescriptions and any medical problems. Every step was explained in detail and questions answered, very comprehensive exam and we were treated as valued patients throughout the entire process. Once the exam was complete Natalie guided us through selecting frames and lenses for our new eyeglasses, making everything clear, and then explaining, completely, what our insurance covered and what the cost would be plus all the options we have. And, Dr. Shields explained the conditions of our eyes and made recommendations for what we should do at home to protect our eyes and even gave my wife some samples of things she can use for dry eyes, etc., that are available at local drug stores and which products are best. Now we wait for our new eyeglasses and then have them fitted once they arrive.

All were helpful and friendly. I was upfront when making the appointment AND upon entering for my appt. what my needs were...glasses and contacts. I wanted pricing in order to see coverage and what I would order/could afford. I was told octor left without leaving info on contacts so no pricing was provided. I am awaiting a call for this information. In future I will not make late appts. when they are offered. Staff should have recognized the need for more time and offered a different time, or informed me that I may not complete all needs on my scheduled day. I have been a customer since the business was on Palmdale Blvd.
